Welcome to Autumn's Running Late: a genuine blog to humor and empower your day. Or night. Because I'm probably running late again (with reflectors and mace). I'm Autumn Plourd, a night owl since engineering school, but now I’m hanging up my hard hat to run a household and be a present and positive role model to my kids. I'm married to my favorite early bird who supports my hobbies, hopes, and Starbucks habits, even when he doesn’t share my initial attraction to them. We never sit still and we're taking the kids with us!

When I consciously decided to dedicate my time to raising children and attempting to organize household duties, I knew I'd need a creative outlet to feel a connection to the world outside sticky floors and dirty diapers.

I started this blog to stay connected, to share my daily wins and losses, and to serve as a reminder that I can always choose to laugh. Autumn's Running Late is a taste of what goes on in my mind, and perhaps an illustration of this mom doing hard things that maybe someday my girls can look back at with pride.
